Peaches!

We always look forward to the month of August because our peach trees ripen and we get to enjoy lots of fresh peaches!

This year we got about 300 peaches between our dwarf peach tree and our semi-dwarf peach tree.

I remember helping my mom can when I was younger, so I decided to try my hand at it this year. We started small by "putting up" 13 quarts of peaches. Maybe next year we will be a little more adventurous.

We enjoyed a lot of fresh peaches, made up some 10 batches of frozen peach crisp filling and froze a 6 quarts of fresh peach slices. So, if you happen to invite me to a pot-luck event, I will probably be bringing something peachy!
